Christian Tremblay

Hailed by the Washington Post as “eloquent and technically flawless”, Christian Tremblay has been heard in cities throughout Canada and the United States as a recitalist and chamber musician. Recent chamber music performances took place at Strathmore, and on the Steinway series at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Mr. Tremblay was broadcast nationally by La Chaîne Culturelle de Radio-Canada, and has performed recitals in France, the Netherlands and Singapore. He is Principal Second violin with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, and an active performer in the Baltimore-Washington area.

Christian Tremblay holds a Diplôme D’Études Supérieures from the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Peabody Conservatory. He is on the violin faculty at the Peabody Preparatory of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, where he is co-chair of the string department and director of the Performance Academy for Strings. He is also adjunct violin and chamber music faculty at Peabody Conservatory, and a violin and chamber music faculty member at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
